What data we collect
We only collect the data we need to reply to you and to run the site.
- Data you give us in the contact form: first name, last name, email, phone, company, industry, location, number of employees, lab of interest, description of the problem and, if you give one, a budget range.
- Data the site records on its own: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of the visit. They are used to keep the site up and secure.
- Visit statistics: pages visited, source, device type and country, without the IP address. They are used only to produce aggregate statistics; the details are in the Cookie Policy.
- Data you send us when you write to us: the content of the emails you send us and the addresses they come from.
We do not collect special categories of data, such as health, political opinions or religious beliefs, and we ask you not to enter them in the form.
Why we process them, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR.
- To deliver the service, if you become a client — performance of the contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR.
- Keeping the site secure and running — our legitimate interest in protecting the infrastructure, art. 6.1.f GDPR.
- Understanding which pages are useful, with aggregate statistics — our legitimate interest in improving the site, art. 6.1.f GDPR.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation, art. 6.1.c GDPR.
How long we keep them
- Enquiries that do not become a project: 24 months from the last contact.
- Client data: for the whole duration of the relationship and for the 10 years afterwards required by tax law.
- Site technical logs: 30 days.
- Visit statistics: 13 months.
Who they can be shared with
Your data is not sold and is not passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
The only provider that processes them on our behalf, on our instructions and as data processor is Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the site, serves its pages and filters its traffic for security reasons.
Beyond that, the data may be disclosed to our accountant and to the authorities, when the law requires it.
Cloudflare may also process the data outside the European Union. The transfer takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, incorporated into the contract we have with the provider.
What rights you have
You can ask us at any time to:
- know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it, artt. 15 e 20 GDPR;
- correct or complete them, art. 16 GDPR;
- erase them or restrict their use, artt. 17 e 18 GDPR;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, art. 21 GDPR;
- withdraw the consent you gave us, without affecting the validity of what was done before.
Write to marco@teo-tech.io and we reply within a month. If you think we are processing your data improperly you can contact the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (the Italian data protection authority), Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma, or file a complaint from its website.
Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. The enquiries that come in through the form are read by a person.
If this text changes
If we change the way we process data we update this page and the date at the top. We also flag important changes to anyone already in contact with us.
